Terms and Conditions

Effective date: October 4, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of this website and to any reservation or purchase of the cookbook Mangia! Mangia! ("the Book"). The website and the Book are owned and operated by Nadia Nascimben ("we," "us," "our") of Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.
By using this website, reserving a copy or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund and Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. If you are younger, a parent or guardian must place the order for you.
2. The Book
Mangia! Mangia! is a limited first printing, published in memory of Nonna Antonietta. We describe the Book as accurately as we can. However:
•    colours, paper and printing may differ slightly from the photos and descriptions on this website
•    small variations between copies are a normal part of printing and are not defects
•    details such as page count and format may change slightly before printing is complete
3. Reservations and orders
Reservations: reserving a copy holds one for you while supplies last. A reservation is not a completed purchase, and you are not charged until you pay.
Orders: an order is accepted only when we send you a confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel any reservation or order, for example if:
•    the Book is sold out
•    there is an error in the price or description
•    we suspect fraud or misuse
•    we cannot verify your information
If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
Limited quantities: copies are limited. Reservations and orders are filled in the order they are received. We may limit how many copies one person can buy.
4. Prices and payment
•    All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
•    Applicable taxes, including GST/HST, and any shipping charges are added at checkout or confirmed before you pay.
•    If a price is listed incorrectly because of an error, we will contact you before processing your order. You may then cancel for a full refund.
•    We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
•    Online payments are processed securely by a third-party payment processor. By paying, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method.
5. Pickup
If you choose to pick up your copy at the book launch or another arranged location, please bring your confirmation email. If you cannot attend, contact us to arrange another pickup or shipping, which may cost extra.
If a paid copy is not picked up within 30 days of the pickup date and we cannot reach you, we may ship it to the address you gave us at your cost, or cancel the order and refund you less any costs we incurred.
6. Shipping
•    We currently ship within Canada only.
•    Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
•    We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, postal disruptions or strikes, weather or customs.
•    Please make sure your shipping address is correct. If a package is returned because of an incorrect address, reshipping costs are your responsibility.
•    If your package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days and we will work with you and the carrier to resolve it, as set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
7. Dedications and personalized copies
If you request a dedication:
•    you are responsible for the spelling of names and wording, so please check your request carefully
•    we may decline any dedication that is offensive, inappropriate or infringes someone else's rights
•    personalized copies cannot be cancelled once the dedication is written, and cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective
8. Refunds and cancellations
Cancellations, returns and refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Copyright and permitted use
All content in the Book and on this website, including recipes, text, family stories, photographs, illustrations, designs and logos, is © 2026 Nadia Nascimben, unless otherwise noted, and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.

You may not, without our written permission:

•    publish the recipes, text or photos in print, online, on video or in any other cookbook, blog or publication
•    use the recipes or content for commercial purposes, including in a restaurant, catering business, cooking class or product sold for profit
•    use the Mangia! Mangia! name, cover or design in a way that suggests we endorse you
10. Content you send us
If you send us photos, reviews, comments or stories, for example a photo of a dish you made, you confirm that you own them or have permission to share them. You also give us permission to repost them, with credit to you, on this website or our social media, unless you ask us not to. We may remove any content at any time.
11. Recipes, food safety and health

•    No health advice: nothing in the Book or on this website is medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Speak with a qualified health professional about your specific needs.
•    Results: cooking a occhio, by eye, means results will vary with your ingredients, equipment and technique.
We are not responsible for any allergic reaction, illness, injury or other result of preparing or eating any recipe, except where the law does not allow us to limit our responsibility.
12. Using this website
When using this website, you agree not to:

We may suspend or block access to anyone who breaks these rules.
13. Links to other websites
This website may link to other sites, such as social media or retailers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
14. Disclaimer
The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep information accurate and the website running, but we do not guarantee it will always be error-free, complete or uninterrupted.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, or any other consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
•    our total liability for any claim relating to the Book, an order or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the Book
•    we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of data, income or enjoyment
These limits do not apply where the law does not permit them.
16. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for any claims, losses or costs, including reasonable legal fees, caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Book's content or this website.
17. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include printing or supplier delays, postal disruptions or strikes, natural disasters, illness, power or internet outages and government actions. If an event like this affects your order, we will let you know, and you may cancel for a full refund if the delay is significant.
18. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal information and forms part of these Terms.
19. Electronic communications
By placing a reservation or order, you agree to receive emails about it, such as confirmations, updates and receipts. Promotional emails are sent only with your consent, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario, unless consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Before taking any formal action, please contact us. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally.
21. General
•    Changes: we may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date and do not affect orders already confirmed.
•    Severability: if any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
•    No waiver: if we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
•    Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Book and this website.
•    Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example if the Book or business is sold.
